Emergency / Crisis counseling and support groups to victims of Domestic Violence Sexual Assault and Other Violent Crimes

Women Of Worth Group (WOW)
is a psycho-educational group that provides support and information to women victims of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault

Children/ Intermediate/ Adolescent Groups (CIA)
is a support group formed when the need arises to serve children victims who are living or were living in domestic violence and sexual assault situations.

Men Terminating Violence (MTV)
participants are generally men who are first time offenders and have been court ordered to Family Resource Center to receive counseling.

Women Anger Management (WAM)
is a psycho educational group established to treat women who are or have been in a violent relationship and have been charged for domestic violence.

Family and Youth Crisis Intervention Program (FYCIP)
provides education and early prevention intervention via parental and adolescent groups.

FYCIP Rites of Passage Rights of Passage (ROP)
focus is to provide families an opportunity to evaluate their experiences and incorporate choices and positive changes leading to healthier family lifestyles.

FYCIP Rites of Passage Girls Rights of Passage (GROP)
focus is to provide families an opportunity to evaluate their experiences and incorporate choices and positive changes leading to healthier family lifestyles.
Intervention for Child Abuse Victims.

Intervention for Child Abuse Victims
Family Resource Center provides counseling, court advocacy, emergency shelter and financial assistance to child victims of physical and sexual abuse and neglect.

Emergency Shelter for adult and child victims of Domestic Violence and Sexual Abuse
Family Resource Center Emergency Shelter presently has the capacity of 20 beds. Sheltered clients receive food, clothing, personal hygiene products, and a variety of other products at the shelter and necessary wrap-around services.

Safehouse clients participate in the no-charge prescription program offered by a local Pharmacy.

Referrals
Available to other community agencies that may offer additional assistance. These agencies include but are not limited to Dept. of Human Services, Bethlehem House, KIDSCOPE, Education Department, Methodist Outreach, Division of Mental Health, Roy L. Schneider Hospital, and Health Clinics.

Emergency Legal Advocacy
Assistance in obtaining restraining orders or protection orders, accompaniment to court hearings, criminal trials, court representation, and court preparation.

Community Education/ Outreach Services (Prevention Tool)
Outreach activities at schools, faith-based organizations, civic groups, community events. This is available by appointment or invitation at no cost, in the areas of Domestic Violence, child abuse & rape prevention, and methods of violence.
